Research results of the company Synergia SE

This summer Synergia SE, exclusive distributor of R&M solutions in Ukraine, held a market research in Fiber optic segment. The purpose was to study the opinions of the qualified specialists of the carrier segment of Ukraine in R&M FTTH system.  The questionnaire was sent by e-mail to the Synergiaґs partners, as well as in printed form it was distributed with the newspaper "DK-zv'yazok" of the publishing house "Softpress". The target audience of this research is operators of Ukraine, installers and system integrators.  In total there were 308 people attended in this research.  Fully completed application form gave the right to win our prize - the official iPad 2 3G.

So, we officially announced that the ceremony was held at the office of the company Synergia on September 7, 2011.  There were attended representatives of Ukrainian mass media, and the winner was determined by our VIP guest, director of scientific and technical department of "Ukrtelecom" - Victor Katok.

Briefly about the research: in the questionnaire it was proposed to the participants to estimate some characteristics of FTTH R&M solutions. Score of 1 meant - "not important at all", 7 - "very important". Opinion of the respondents could be modified from 2 to 6.  In this research we studied only the distinctive features of R&M FTTH solutions and did not include those features which had all professional equipment in this class. There were questions in the questionnaire to identify if the participant was the real expert in FTTX. The answers of those respondents who noted that they were not technical experts, were not considered in the further processing.  Also, the answers of those respondents who chose only extreme or the same scores were not considered in the further processing. The numbers of questionnaires in analysis were 278 pcs.

The highest scores have 2 options:

• The minimum bending radius of fiber 40 mm (Stability parameters of optical communication channel for the transmission of signals of high power in the future) - 6.04
• Low cost and not much time for service (Simple administration of subscriber connections) - 6.02
   

From these results we can see very clear the strengths of R&M FTTH solutions.  It should be noted that FTTH segment rapidly developing in Europe.  For Ukraine it is just a new direction.  This research is a basic pattern, which shows the points of view of technical experts to R&M FTTH system.  The data and results can be used in other future research.  And we plan to hold similar interviews with specialists who will have experience in using and working with R&M FTTH solutions in real projects.

During the ceremony the expert of fiber-optic market, Victor Katok told to the media epresentatives about FTTH technology trends on the Ukrainian market, compared these solutions with other products and explained why FO technologies had a lot of advantages.  Also at the meeting there were discussed issues of development communication in general.  Victor Katok gave his expert assessment of the impact of wireless technologies on people.  The conversation was very interesting.

All questionnaires took part in the lottery prize and the winner of our main prize iPad 3G was Vladislav Davydov, deputy director of the company "Ukrtelecom", Kiev branch. Victor B. Katok personally informed the winner about good news and congratulated him on. Vladislav immediately came to get his prize.  Peter Reznichenko - Director of Synergia SE, and Victor B. Katok director of scientific and technical department of "Ukrtelecom" personally congratulated the winner.
