Swiss cabling specialist Reichle & De-Massari AG (R&M) reported sales of CHF 192 million in fiscal year 2009 (EUR 130 million). That is 22 percent less than in 2008. “At the start of 2009, the decline in sales was not foreseeable in the magnitude in which it came. This drop reflects the tough market environment,” CEO Martin Reichle said. “We did manage to offset part of the decline in the final quarter. I see light on the horizon,” Martin Reichle added. EBIT for 2009 amounted to 6 percent. “That is a satisfactory result, especially because we con-sciously dispensed with far-reaching cost cutting and continued unabated with strategically important projects. We knew we were going to break even for quite some time but actually ended up with a small profit,” Martin Reichle noted.
The cabling specialist Reichle & De-Massari AG (R&M) from Wetzikon, Switzerland has invested in a new company building to safeguard continued growth. The family firm laid the foundation stone for the new ecological building around a year ago. Last week the building's shell was completed. The building will be ready for occupation in mid 2010. The R&M cube is one of the largest low-exergy company buildings in Switzerland.

The Swiss cable specialist Reichle & De-Massari AG (R&M) has enlarged its top management. Effective September 1, 2008, Martin Rosatzin joined the management as CTO (Chief Technology Officer). The CTO position was created to deal with the complex requirements of the international markets and the demands associated with being the innovation leader in the industry. Martin Rosatzin is a physicist by training and has an executive MBA from the University of Zurich.
The Swiss cabling specialist Reichle & De-Massari AG (R&M) can look back on a further period of growth in the first-half of 2008. With sales amounting to CHF 122 million the company has been able to post a 5.1 percent increase. In terms of local currencies, growth amounted to 7.8 percent. With the exception of Switzerland, is growing in the majority of key markets with the strongest increase in sales evident in the regions of Germany, the Middle East, and Central and Eastern Europe. For the second half-year we are expecting the sales figures to show little change.
R&M Germany, a subsidiary of Wetzikon-based cable specialist Reichle & De-Massari AG (R&M), can look back on 25 years of successful operations. The parent company’s larg-est subsidiary, R&M Germany is a firm fixture in the premium segment of Germany’s networks sector, and – spurred on by the jubilee celebrations – continues to fight for pole position in the market. On June 5, 2008 the company celebrated its anniversary in style with customers and employees.
First cut of the spade for the new production, logistics, innovation and development premises - Reichle Immobilien AG, a subsidiary of the Wetzikon cabling specialist Reichle & De-Massari (R&M), is investing in a new company building as a means of safeguarding future growth. With the symbolic first cut of the spade on 26 May 2008, senior management gave the green light for the start of building work. The new building at Binzstrasse 32 will accommodate the present production facilities currently located at Buchgrindelstrasse. This will enable the company to increase the efficiency of its processes. The building is being constructed according to low energy guidelines.
Reichle & De-Massari (R&M), the Swiss specialist suppliers of passive cabling solutions for communication networks, have opened a further branch abroad. The office, in the center of London, was officially inaugurated with a celebration on 24 April 2008. The new branch is the result of a partnership agreement with the established British distributor for fiber optics and copper cable solutions, Blue Helix. A number of projects have already been implemented in Europe’s key financial center.
